Game thread: Alabama vs Florida

We’ve figured out to play as a team and the shot selection has gotten so much better. Combine that with playing hard on both ends of the floor and rebounding much better and that’s why we look like a different team. This is what this team is capable of and that’s without JQ and Herb in foul trouble

We can count on a comeback. But I like how we have played. absolutely hate when herb is in on offense. We are much better on O playing through Keon ellis, shack, and a big tonight

Wow! First win against UF since 2006 and first 3-0 SEC start since 86-87! If we win!

Just sitting down to watch the game, I watched the Heisman and then had to make a run because apparently tonight was "my" night to worry about dinner. So Publix chichen it is.

Just looking at the score, this was a huge win. I know Florida isn't a great team and without their best player, but they are still a good team. And in the past, after a win like Saturday, Alabama has almost always laid an egg the next game no matter who they played. This shows that this team is growing and understand what it takes to be a consistent winner.

I know Herb misses a lot of layups but you can't argue with his production tonight. Everybody has finally figured out their role on this team and it's looking good. Bruner is a definite upgrade from Galin. Primo is still trying to build some confidence but he still looks good. Imagine when he figures it all out. Could you imagine if Tchikou wasn't injured.

Just got a chance to watch it. I still can't believe it. Two games in a row we've handled two really good teams, and tonight without JQ. Oats has made some adjustments. We just aren't running and shooting the first 3 we see in these last couple games, and it's obviously helped us on offense but it's helped us even more on defense. We've taken better shots, which leads to less transition for the opposing team. And with this roster, we are going to have a mismatch in our favor a lot of times, and tonight we wore every mismatch we could find out.
I thought Bruner was really good tonight. Rojas played within the structure of things better. Ellis and Primo are going to be huge down the stretch. Reese is settling in his spot. Herb killed mismatches all night. Petty just keeps doing whatever needs to be done, although he needs to find more shots.
Can't believe we didn't lay an egg after the big win Saturday. It's exciting, but I'm not getting to high. I've traveled this road before....

My thoughts exactly, the fact that they didn’t live and die by the 3 was the most important part of the game to me. They took it to the basket and forced the refs to call fouls. They played strong on defense for the second straight game against a good opponent. If they can keep it going against Auburn and Kentucky, this team can challenge for the SEC.
