Sloppy handling of the ball and poor free throw shooting is hurting Bama. Teams are forcing Bama to play their game, unlike most of January when Bama was playing their game.

Pretty simple. When we let the other team dictate our pace of play, we’re in trouble.
The easy put back layups by his guy. He gets pushed around in there. But no this is a full team suckage it’s not just Reece
Woo tough half...missing shots from everywhere including the FT line...too many turnovers, but really Bama is getting mauled shooting 30% while MZ over 50%.
We’re a 4-5 seed caliber team. We’re good, but 1 seed is pretty laughable. 3 seed at best imo. We have the ability to make a deep run but it’s not happening if we can’t figure out how to play against teams that bring their D out 30+ feet like everyone is doing lately.
Their two bigs have 7 and 4. Tillman has about half of what he averages. Anybody that expected Reese to handle him was wrong in the first place. All he can do it fight him. Try to hedge on a ball screen then run back down and get in position on Tillman, a lot harder than it looks.
Not trying to be critical because there is more than enough of that going around here, but an observation has me wondering if these guys know how to use the bounce pass. ONE time in the first half did we use the bounce pass and it got a wide open look from three that was missed, but still a great look. We have entirely too many turnovers off of bad passes. With that said this damn team is still 10-0 in the SEC!!

Being guarded. Teams have learned to make Primo drive it, just like Petty and Shack. The good thing is, Primo will be better driving the ball than Petty or Shack, in time.
We drive A LOT where we pick up the dribble 14 feet from the basket and end up with a really off balance throw up shot or a flailing away pass attempt that results in a turnover
Good question re: Primo...he had a nice run and then had basically disappeared the last 2 and today...too much talent not to be more productive when teams are extending the D way out
So our choice right now is Reese shoot a 3 or somebody drive it and turn it over. I’ll take the shot.
no they weren't. oats had the choice to continue their recruitment or not to. Reese cant even hit an uncontested dunk. an embarrassment for effort.
Between those 3 if they can’t get a shot that’s on them. It’s not like it’s one of them and they are getting doubled. If you a great player you have to be able to get a shot up.
Well 2nd half hasn’t started good either. Just not our day and need to get this figured out. Our next games are against the bottom part of the SEC, but USC will not be easy. So hoping we can get the offense going and less turnovers. Need and have to have Petty and Primo hitting.

We have beat average teams bad. Both times we have played actual really good teams we’ve gotten whipped.
One reason they can’t get a shot is bc they can’t drive it and finish. So teams are just crowding them and saying drive it.
And we just stand around on offense. It all comes off of the drive and forcing help. Teams have realized our guards can’t drive it and finish enough, so they just aren’t helping the same.
I still believe we need more movement off the ball on offense. Or we need a point guard that can break things down and finish. JQ has the ability to do that, but he’s in a funk or something.
The offense just seems lost right now. Idk if that’s just not having a Bruner down low to feed it to when the defense guards us so far out, or if we just aren’t good ball handlers agains tight defense, but we literally are getting a good shot about 1-10 possessions. Our drives are resulting in extremely difficult 6 footers or a turnover. They are not leading to layups or good kick out 3 point looks

This is probably the worst game of basketball I've ever seen. Reese missing a wide open dunk, Petty standing with his hands on his hips(really?). turnovers glor, maybe we need to quit playing these noon games because our guys must surley sleep walk during these early games!
these last so many games herb gets in foul trouble each one. playing physical is good to a point.
