Memphis will be a handful this year… sheesh. Would not go away. This is a great win on the resume though…

Who’s the clown that said the flop at the end shouldnt be called? That could have changed that game had the refs fell for it.
Are we ever going to put away a team during one of the countless opportunities we have? Just like the football team. Let teams hang around all game leading to late game dramatics.

Seriously? I agree. That was a blatant attempt to fool the officials. Should have been called.
No, no - we tried to give them the game several times while pocketing 3 timeouts.
We really need to work on inbounding the ball. Our guys just cannot seem to get open.
And JQ...he's been cold shooting the ball for the last 3 games and instead is turning it over. A lot.

The timeouts didn’t bother me too bad .. there was an opp to use one or two down the stretch
Did Memphis really score 15 points in the last 65 seconds with their 2 best players on the bench? Good lord.

Nope. Just like last year. Memphis getting to the rim all night and not 5 seconds of zone.
I'm not sure Oats knows how to teach zone defense lol. The few times we tried it we looked like a pickup team at the REC. But when we did try zone it was usually because the 5 we had out there were too slow or lazy to stick to their man.
I just want to savor this win because we got punked in Memphis last year. I don't think we played very good but this team is different.
That was my assumption .. but I haven’t watched every game . Also I have never seen an oats team play zone
Agreed .. Memphis is talented and absolutely schooled our young players in some half court sets but Bama’s perseverance won the day
As a fan you have to tip the cap to Memphis ; they never gave up either
I hope our players learned a lesson tonight without having to take the L.. play to the last whistle
Agree, I also think that Memphis deserves a whole lot of credit, some teams just don’t quit, see Bama down by 15 @ Houston as a great example. First game without our best defender as well. I truly believe that Burnett being out will cost us a couple of games that otherwise we would have won.

I agree but hope our players will step up. Worst case is Burnette back in mid February or as early as the end of January.
Agreed that Burnett will be missed, but these guys have each other's backs, and when one is off his game or goes down (injury), these guys close ranks and keep on stepping!
