  • Service academies and FCS teams don't have the athletes of the Power 5 teams.
  • They don't have the high-powered coaching staffs and all the advantages of Power 5 teams
  • They are frequently undersized compared to Power 5 programs and cannot match their speed.
Nevertheless, they still want to win and give max effort.

If you try to take a week off when playing them, service academies and FCS teams can make you pay.

It happened to VA Tech and very nearly happened to the Sooners.

Went to Army and the same is true of Navy and Air Force. Those guys do not give up.

Still, I hope everyone gets the opportunuity to attend a game in Michie Stadium at West Point. Absolutely gorgeous place. Catskills, Hudson River, sugar maples in fall splendor; it doesn't get any more iconic.
