First of all, we’ll have a new quarterback. And let me just say before the arguing starts, may the best man win. End of statement. After Ty Simpson has had extreme patience, I would like to see him win the job. However, if he is not the best man, so be it. I believe we have eight returning starters on defense, it seems we have some depth in the secondary, our defense made some progress and hopefully that’s going to carryover into this next season.
I’m very concerned about our offense because I’m not seeing a change at the offensive coordinator position. That is a huge reason for concern. However, as our stated, we will have a new quarterback. I hope he can read a defense. Our receiving group, appears to be pretty strong. With the addition of the speedster to go along with Ryan Williams, they could be dangerous. Our running back room appears to be strong as well. I don’t think we’ll miss 22, we may be the better for it
If Deboer can get tough and maintain some discipline, this could be an incredible rebound year. I am cautiously optimistic.
