basketball talk on this site since the separation of sports related Bama talk into separate boards Inside Coleman Coliseum is fine as is the Recruiting Board, but I still miss having the ability of seeing Harper41 here. Football rightfully dominates discussion (especially in this exceptional year) but I enjoyed the ability to see basketball, baseball and softball comments here as I scrolled down. Was the intermingling too much of a nuisance for others? Just asking...not criticizing.

Idk, but I wish it was all 1 board. More than anything I would rather have Bone mixed with toc.
I agree. I never look at recruiting anymore. At least the basketball posters are still posting. It does keep some of the football folks from saying, “I only care about football” in every thread.
I've been keeping up with recruiting my whole life almost... Recruiting is my original reason for being here. When they moved Bone somehow I managed to stick on Toc and know nothing about recruiting.
Recently I've been trying to get off the Toc drug and go back to my roots... straight recruiting and bball
Same here. Of course back when I joined, we were excited to get an upper 3 star. Shula was going to coach them up. Lol.
Whiney football only fans complained even though that board has plenty of room for bball talk. So lame it cant all be combined.
If we keep winning, they will join the bandwagon. Then complain about every single possession. Should be fun.

I don't think there is a perfect solution to this. Basketball discussion can get swallowed up on a football dominant board pretty easily. And you will always have the fog's muddying up the threads asking why is this on the football board etc
However it does seem just the fact you have to click one more time to get to a separate board sometimes inhibits traffic. Also limit 6 posure to foggs who might become interested in basketball but will not be exposed to it on the TOC

I like the new separation of discussions! Basketball gets buried on the Football board.
And we wonder why the basketball team doesn't have a fan base like UNC or Duke. Yes, we are a football powerhouse, but wouldn't it help across the board if our football fans got more exposure to the other sports teams? It's as if we have put all other sports in the back seat, if not in the trunk of the car. Again, no criticism....jusy don't understand why we don't cultivate fans across all sports. Those uninterested don't have to click. How many football fans realized the BIG win over Tenn last night?
The problem is, most FOGs aren't smart enough to understand this simple concept, and it ruins it for everyone else. I'm glad the boards are separated.
Instead of looking through the TOC trying to find some basketball info, it is much better having our own board. The reason we don’t have more folks on this board is because the basketball program has been mired in mediocrity for the last couple of decades. Wins like this one slowly will change the culture of the fan base and the program and we will see the TOC guys making their way over here. Don’t really know if that’s good or not.

This site is great, but its biggest issue is it desperately needs more young people. This place has the vibe of a retirement home.

You hit the nail on the head and are correct! I don't think there enough people that are willing or know how to hover over a menu and click on the correct board! Mostly the same people that want us to run "The Picket Fence" on Offense!
