Yes 1000 times over. It doesn't matter how good of a young coach he is, Matta is a premiere proven winner. This is what we get letting a dude from Arizona make hires. He has no clue

Phil Jackson retired for health issues ... was gone one year and came back to coach the Lakers and win championships ... should not have let the broken down Jackson come back.

I was all aboard the Matta train as well, but the guy played UGA almost identically last year.
We may not have gotten the coach many wanted, but let's hope it's the coach we needed.

My presumption.... Matta is merely kicking tires, to keep his buyout payments coming. Don’t think Byrne blew it with Matta - Matta turned him down.

Brad Stevens never coached in a Power 5 Conf. But he DID get his mid-major into the NCAA Tournament 5 of his 6 years, and made the Championship game TWICE.
Where someone has coached doesn’t mean squat. If they can coach, it will all work itself out. You would be surprised where some of the greatest coaches of all time once coached.
I don't know about all of that but as far as my back goes , It is a total FUBAR . 5 surgeries and about 5 pounds of titanium later and I can still barely get around . What used to take me 1 day to do this time took me 6 . So I dont play around with the whole back surgery thing !!!!!
