It’s also very uncommon to see them look pedestrian and poorly coached and prepared. But they have thru history and even in 2007 in Sabans first year. I understand everyone will say “but Deboer has a top recruiting class that Saban left him”…. Does he? I think Saban had recruited some guys that never bought into a standard and was here to just go to NFL. Anyhoo, no knock on the GOAT, and I think he even got fed up with them and the coaches leaving. It’s a very hard job these days. But what I do know, things at the top have to fall to the bottom before they can bounce back. That’s just physics 😎

If I’m Deboer I’m starting the TF QB day 1 and rebuilding for 2026-27 run. These young QBs can handle the spot light and show out. They’ll be a lot of mistakes, but he will learn a lot in 25 to build on. It’ll also help him with QB recruiting to show he will play talent over experience.
