Alabama is set to lose another receiver as Jaren Hamilton told Rivals that he is entering the transfer portal. The redshirt freshman will have three years of eligibility at his next school.
Hamilton appeared in four games this season without recording any stats. He was one of four active scholarship receivers available for Alabama’s loss to Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl. The Gainesville, Florida native, signed with Alabama as a four-star recruit in the 2023 class.
Hamilton will be the fifth Alabama receiver to leave for the transfer portal, joining Emmanuel Henderson (Kansas), Kendrick Law (Kentucky), Caleb Odom (Ole Miss) and Kobe Prentice (Baylor).
Alabama added Miami transfer Isaiah Horton and appears set to move five-star cornerback Jaylen Mbakwe to the receiver position this year. The Tide also signed a pair of 2025 receivers in Derek Meadows and Zoteier Brooks.
