Alabama is expected to lose freshman edge rusher Jayshawn Ross to the transfer portal, according to multiple reports. The outside linebacker appeared in just five snaps during the Crimson Tide’s win over Mercer this season and will have four years of eligibility at his next school.
Ross signed with Alabama as the No. 224 overall player and No. 13 weakside defensive end on the 2024 class. He chose the Tide over Florida State, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Penn State and Tennessee.
