I know some people do not like the guy; I personally think he is a straight shooter
I’ll paraphrase what he said about Milroe /
1. he trusts Milroe to run a play but not to read a play
2. He became worried about the position talent when Buchner transferred
because Buchner and Rees were close enough that Tommy would not have said transfer unless Tommy Rees thought there was a chance he could earn some playing time .
In other words when Rees saw the qbs on campus during spring and was convinced of their talent, then he would have told Buchner try some other destination
