First of all let me say that I did not play football!! That said, Coach Saban walks on the field pre-game and the Texas fans are yelling “F” Saban. The players heard that! Then (I heard the ac in the dressing room is not working) the players must hate that!
The game is hard fought 15 penalties and I’m sure that the players received some choice words! It’s a hard fought game and we came back and won!
Now here’s my point! I coached for 32 years and have heard many many times that the team takes the personality of the head coach! I truly believe this! Look at Coach Saban! He’s a fiery coach who wears his emotions on his sleeve! He will give his options to the officials when he thinks he is right! His players will tend to take his personality the same way! After all the crap they had to endure Saturday the hook down jester was to be expected! I’m glad that’s all that happened!
These are 18-22 finely tuned athletes who lay it all on the line! The have to blow off steam to! I neither condemn or agree with any of this but remember they lmo take clues from Coach Saban who has been known to pop off every now and then!
