TAMPA, Fla. — Ryan Williams might be getting his best friend on his side of the ball for good moving forward. During Alabama’s bowl preparation in Tampa the past week, freshman cornerback Jaylen Mbakwe was seen working exclusively with the wide receivers in media viewing sessions.
While part of that switch has to do with Alabama’s current lack of depth in the receiving corps, Mbakwe now appears likely to make a permanent switch to offense moving forward.
