Talking with Havana about it being a mistake to let Hootie take the fall over Langham instead of Bebes made me think about this again.
I really wanted Brother to be the next HC after CGS. I dont care if some think of him as a traitor bc I never worry about a coaches loyalty....just how well they do their jobs.
Brother was a lazy recruiter but as a HC his southern gentleman routine would have sealed alot of Moms on the in home visits.
The defense would have been very similar to what you see now with Nick and Kirby. Dubose would still have been the DL coach with the DC title. Ellis coaching LB's and a young GA named Will Muschamp who Brother gave his start in coaching to at Aubbie.
Homer would have been the OC and I think could have gotten some elite QB's to come.
Brother was old school and hard nosed but still a players coach. When ever CGS would try and install something as soon as he left the meeting Brother would erase the grease board and say "now let me show you the real game plan."
Sucks that the PTB did not have the vision back then to see what they were missing.
