lived in Opelika during the Bryant era and was a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Opelika. On the frequent Sundays following Bama beating the aubs the day before, he would arrive at church very early and write the score on the inside of all the orders of worship. Then to top it off, he would stand at the door of the sanctuary and greet as many aubs as possible.
