Nate Oats’ New Deal

That's a better figure than the first rumors that got out of $4million. That would have screamed we don't really care about the sport as much as we let on as Oats would likely not even be top 5 in the league. I hope the incentives on a great season like a final 4 and a championship pushes that to 7 million or more.

Any word on assistants? It seemed there was hope we could also pay Hodgson enough to hold onto him another year or two but it might take SEC football level coordinator kind of money.

Whats his buyout now? Needs to be HIGH.

edit: Here is the buyouts by year. It included an increased buyout that began at $12.5 million in the first year (2021-22), $9.8 million in the second year (2022-23), $7 million in the third year (2023-24) and $2.4 million in the fourth year (2024-25). There would have been no buyout amount in Oats’ previous deal if he left during the final two years (2025-27).
