Nate Oats: "We have not played particularly well [at Georgia]... We've got to come with a little better focus."
Oats said Alabama played its best offensive game of the season against LSU.
Oats: "Georgia's improved since I've been there... Our guys are going to have to get locked in."
Oats said Alabama has had two good practices.
On Mark Sears being nominated for the Bob Cousy and Jerry West Awards: "No disrespect to those who are on those lists... but he's leading the SEC in scoring. I would say he's the most efficient guard [in the country.]"
Oats: "When a leading scorer in the league is on the best team in the league... I don't think the people making those lists are looking at everything in college basketball."
Oats on his career 22 technical fouls: "We're 17-4 in those games... we should probably get more."
Oats on defensive improvement: "Our guards are not as tough on the ball as they need to be." Said Alabama's bigs are late on blitzing screens.
Oats: "If we get to that off-week and we still don't like what's going on we can make some major changes." Alabama's off-week is in two weeks after its Feb. 10 game against LSU.
Oats said there are a lot of minutes up for grabs in the frontcourt.
More on working the refs: "All the way back to my high school days I've always been intense... officials tend to make some calls you don't agree with sometimes. I don't think I necessarily enjoy it."
Oats: "To say I enjoy arguing with another adult male, no... but sometimes you gotta make a point."
