Oats said Florida will have to figure out how to guard Alabama's guards.
On Florida coach Todd Golden: "He's brought them back."
Oats said it was a good effort by Alabama to prevent offensive rebounds from turning into second-chance points against Texas A&M. Said that has to continue against Florida.
Oats: "Hopefully we can turn the pressure up (on the perimeter)."
On Latrell Wrightsell: "He leads the league in 3-point percentage... He's sound, he's solid, his defense has gotten a lot better for us... He can impact the game in numerous ways."
On Sam Walters: "I think he's starting to show some toughness." Said Walters put on 20-plus pounds since joining Alabama and is beginning to figure out how to use it. Also said his defense and rebounding have been better.
Nate Oats said Grant Nelson shoots much better from the corners.
Nate Oats on a veteran team:"It's nice to have experience." Said the team has improved and its hitting his peak and playing its best basketball right now.
Nate Oats on the teams shooting improvement: "With us we don't have guys in the way of getting to the rim." Said he allows his guys to shoot midranges but shows players what shots are the most effective.
