Jones is a guy that can play any spot 1-3 (PG, SG, SF) on the court. He had great numbers for the Matadors last year averaging 13 points, 9 boards, and 4 assists per game on 50% shooting (38% from 3 on 1 attempt per game). He’s not a volume scorer, but he does everything you can ask for on the court. He defends, rebounds, passes well, and can attack the basket and finish.
Jones was originally committed to USC before recently decommitting two weeks ago. He would likely battle Jalil Bethea for the starting 3 spot in the lineup. He will carve out a nice role for the team and play a lot of minutes next year. He has 1 year of eligibility left.
