When JD gets deep in the paint, I would rather he just goes up even if it's contested than to do his kick out that often gets picked. Three things can happen if he just takes the shot and 2 of them are good. He's going to either make it, miss it, or get fouled.

That was my sentiment early in the season. How you gonna get better at finishing with the big boys if you don't test yourself?

10 points in 10 minutes is closer to the norm for this team than a 50 point half.

FIrst half looked like the team we need to see in the post season. That team can beat anyone on any court. First 10 min of the second half was what will get us blown out in the tournament against most any team with a legit shot at the sweet sixteen. Last 10 minutes wasn't better play so much as more shots being made.

Good to get a win though. Finish strong here and suddenly that mid season slump gets forgotten about.

Gotta put together 40 minutes and find a way to keep moving when shots stop dropping.

It’s one of the strengths of his game. Anytime he turns that corner going to the basket he needs to be thinking of finishing. If he gets a while open big man then he can dump it off; other then that just go up with it.

We’ve probably had more 10 points in 10 minutes stretches this season than we have 50 point halves. Glad the guys were able to refocus in the final 12 minutes and finish the game today. It almost assured us the 5 seed in the conference tournament.
