As scary as it may be his development will have pretty big implications for this team this season. Not saying a failure to develop will derail this team but he will be needed to prevent a major drop off when Q goes out. Didn't look timid tonight and hopefully he can gain more and more confidence before league play starts.

Oh and if you are wondering the combined 3 point avg of Bruner, Rojas, and Reese is down to .142 (4-28). That's 28 shots guys. 24 times they might has well have punted it to the rafters.

Reese and Rojas are jacking up too many shots with poor results. They don't appear to believe in feeding the hot hand. Reese shoots so damn fast until he doesn't aim. It's almost as if the ball is hot and he's afraid of burning his hands.

I thought it was interesting that the commentators mentioned in their interview with Oats that he said Rojas is one of the best five players on the team. I think he is still rusty from being out for the year and is pressing too hard. If/when he lets the game come to him and plays to his potential, we will be much better.

Rojas frustrates me more than anybody on the team so far. He must be our best option at the four spot though so he will continue to get the minutes there by default. He was fine the first game against J-State but him and Shaq just force so many bad shots and put themselves in bad situations trying to be over aggressive. Its just three games in though so maybe they will improve.

Bama needs Primo to grow up fast...he had one really bad turnover on a fast break, but it’s pretty easy to see the potential.

Those 3 bigs you mentioned need to focus on impacting the game in ways other than jacking up shots most of the time because we have people on the team that are better at it than them.

Rojas is giving us what I've thought and said he would give us since the day he signed - basically nothing. Unfortunately, due to Tchikou's injury, he's gonna continue to get minutes.

Primo is still really young. He’ll get a lot better as the year goes on . The talent is there. I love how hard Rojas plays. I’m with Harper, I think the full year off hurt his game and he’s probably trying to force it and makes things happen. He’ll settle down. We need his size and toughness

There was a camera shot of Petty, Rojas and Herb standing together. If Petty is 6'5 and if Herb is 6'7, then Rojas is definitely like 6'6. It was clear as day. Big dude but they sold us wolf tickets on his height lol.

If Rojas would play in the paint or at least not shoot until in the paint I think he would be able to really help this ream. I understand you can't be in the draft unless you are 19

You have to turn 19 before the end of the NBA season, which I think Primo would do...Kira was crazy young.

I believe he cannot leave. Hes 17 and you have to be 18. Same as kira but could be wrong

He can and he’s going to. I’m not positive on the exact rule, but I am 100% sure that he’s draft eligible after this season.

From my understanding kira couldn't do to age. Primo is also only 17 after reclassification. I'm interested to see. Luckily for us he won't be a star this year so either way it will lead to him coming back imo

I thought the age 17 issue that Kira had was due to him still being 17 at the time of a certain cut off point for the draft and not the start of college basketball. I could be completely wrong and possibly conjured that from my own misinterpretation or assumption - but I’ll mention it since we’re on the topic.

thats right, if his birthday is in december he will be old enough.

I disagree, Rojas is very athlethic and CNO and staff will help him channel his energy. By mid season He will look like a different player.

See the follow-up posts from other posters. They have it right. Couldn’t remember exactly what the rule was, but knew he was draft-eligible. Put in a different, more depressing way, if he was born 8 days later (his b-day is 12/24/02), he wouldn’t be draft-eligible this year.

I highly doubt he’ll be anywhere near a draft discussion at the end of the season. I really like him, but he’s not a one and done.

Agree, he may be draft eligible age wise, but I don't see his game improving that dramatically in one season to put him in the draft.

his birthday is in december, so he will turn 19 in 2021 and can go if he wants to.
i think he is a very good players and will get better, but i do not think he would get drafted in the 1st round of the NBA after one year.

at present time shack is a better player

Nope. Primo cannot enter the NBA draft this season. There was an article that explained his rationale and intentions for reclassifying. His plan included playing his senior year in college to improve his skills, physical development and to compete at a higher level. Primo and his family consider the 2nd season as his one-and-done year.

Hard to say. Folks are very complementary of the strides he has made in 4 games so what will he look like in march??? Just because he's first or second guy off of the bench it doesn't mean he's going to stay that way. I don't see him sniffing anywhere close to a top 15 pick this year but the NBA drafts on potential so......

That article would be wrong. He can definitely enter the draft

19 years old by january 1 is the rule.

He looks like he needs eat a couple of more sandwiches to play the NBA. Looks a bit too thin physically to compete with some of those guys.

I agree. Hes no 1st rounder this year

Guys, Primo is a 1st rounder all the way this upcoming draft if he stays healthy and shows just normal progression. Trust me. That’s not me being a homer; that’s simply reality based on how the NBA drafts players sometimes almost solely on potential. The NBA loves Primo and what he can become in a few years. Honestly, I don’t even think he’s as much of a projection as one might think by seeing him not starting right now. His elite talent is obvious.

there is always a chance he blows up and becomes a lottery pick. he shows his talent alot but he makes young mistakes also. im just trying to talk myself into to beliving he will be around for awhile.
