Primo

Guys, Primo is a 1st rounder all the way this upcoming draft if he stays healthy and shows just normal progression. Trust me. That’s not me being a homer; that’s simply reality based on how the NBA drafts players sometimes almost solely on potential. The NBA loves Primo and what he can become in a few years. Honestly, I don’t even think he’s as much of a projection as one might think by seeing him not starting right now. His elite talent is obvious.
As of now he's currently the 3rd best talent on the team. Sure he can and should progress. But it won't be this year. Oats will pitch waiting a year and going top 5

he is not a 1st round draft pick right now. that might change.

right now he is not a starter at alabama. damn good player though with a lot of up side
My Bulls just spent the #4 NBA Draft pick on a kid from FSU that didn't start a game. Crazy man. Primo is the kind of player that normally would be at Kentucky IMO. I too think he returns for a second season (that could change you never know) and we will have one of the best players in the SEC and country next year. You really could see him getting comfortable over the course of the three games and letting his natural ability take over. I'm sold on him. He just flashes, it's obvious. Shack is a great player for us too. Very consistent and works his butt off at both ends. If he can be a 20ppg guy maybe he could make a team but he just isn't blessed with the height most shooting guards have in the league. I of course love the kid and support him and could go on and on about the things he does well. I am afraid though Shack is gonna fall into the category of really good college player, not physically special enough for the NBA. Goes without saying I hope I'm wrong. That only means he'll be getting rich in Tel-Aviv or Istanbul instead of Florida or LA.

I gotta agree with Indy here with the caveat that I believe Primo is a 1st Rd talent and if he progresses faster than I anticipate I'll happily change my mind. CNO will really go all out to keep him another year, or he should anyway. Kid looks great. Normally that kid would be wearing a blue jersey that says UK, KU, UNC or DUKE. JD and Bediako with him next year. Exciting times.

I don't think CNO does anything to keep him next year other than provide him with the best information to make the right decision for himself under the guidance of both Primo's family and CNO. No coach can run the risk of being branded in that manner with kids living on social media.

You make it sound nefarious lol. Didn't mean it like that. If Primo is ready and it's time of course he'll be supported in his decision to leave but if it's a Petty situation where a kid is a likely/possible draftee I think CNO would work in his best interest. Sometimes kids overrate their value to a potential NBA team (several Bama kids) and could have used better advice Not saying Primo has demonstrated anything of the sort. I hope he plays so well this year he's a sure-fire 1st Rounder, I just think he'll be here two years, Jmo. So basically we agree on how we hope CNO would handle the situation. I love these kids dude as irrational as it is. As thanks for coming to my town to play ball I want nothing more than these Bama kids to make it in the league.

Since you said talent and not who’s the best right at this moment - that’s Primo all the way. Not even remotely debatable.

As I enjoy hearing Wimp Sanderson say their is a reason you are wide open for three all the time. Lol . Rojas and our bigs don’t need to jack up three pointers .
If you can't hit threes at all, you don't play in Oats' system.

What have you seen from him that would make you say he’s the most talented player on the team? I would put him at 3-4
