It was pretty at times, and it was ugly at times, but Alabama pulled out the win over a very tough Creighton team to finish up their non conference gauntlet.
This Creighton team just demolished Kansas, so they’re a very solid squad, but losing Pop Issacs hurt them in the scoring department. I thought this was Derrion Reid’s best game at Alabama and showed why he is a legit future NBA player. Mark Sears was the player we all thought he would be heading into the season, and Labaron Philon continues to show how immensely talented he is.
It was a poor shooting game for the Tide after a hot start, but give credit to the Tide’s defense. They really kept the Jays at bay in the first half, before they started hitting everything late in the 2nd half. It wasn’t a pretty win, but will be one that will look good at the end.
Now the Tide get a bit of a break before they hit SEC play.
