On to the Elite Eight in back to back years, after only 1 appearance in program history before that.

Alabama used 25 three pointers to route BYU 113-88. Iā€™ve said all week I have loved this matchup for Alabama, and proved true. I have said on Twitter this game reminds me of Kentucky on tape and statistically, and this game turned out like our last game did against Kentucky. Now, nobody expected Alabama to hit this many threes, but BYU is among the worst in the country in allowing 3P attempts and %. They go under every screen and Alabama took advantage of that every time. They also help off the drives a lot, which is also playing into Alabamaā€™s hand.

Mark Sears finished with 10 threes, and Alabama had multiple guys with 5+. Up next, Alabama will face Duke in what should be a fascinating matchup. Duke is a bad matchup for Alabama, but they can beat anyone when they shoot to their potential. Itā€™ll just be exciting to watch yet another elite eight game!
