Sorry I have been MIA at times. We just wrapped up our week long county tournament, that we hosted, so I have been putting in 17 hour days (we won the championship).
I got to rewatch the LSU game and it was a very interesting game to say the least. LSU’s athleticism gave Bama problems on the board and in the paint and that kept them in the game as long as it did. Alabama pulled away, but LSU made everything at the end to make it semi close. Just played around too much at the end.
Now, to the topic of Mark Sears sitting in the second half. I saw the play where he got knocked down, got up slowly, walked up the court and gave up a a wide open 3. That was what got him in the doghouse, but there had to be something said that Nate Oats didn’t like at halftime. He wouldn’t sit someone, much less Sears, the whole half because of that. I imagine Sears smarted off or did something along those lines to warrant benching him. I think Mark is mature enough to learn from it moving forward, but it’s definitely something to monitor moving forward.
Kudos to the team on pulling out a win without Sears the whole second half. It speaks to the maturity and depth of this team. Now they start the back half gauntlet conference schedule with Miss St and Georgia this week.
