In case you missed it, here’s Saban’s post-retirement interview with Rece Davis. As suspected, the transfer portal and NIL and other changes in the college landscape had NO impact on his decision bcuz he’ll adapt to whatever the circumstances. It came down to the fact that he doesn’t think he has the mental stamina at 72 to perform to the standard he sets for himself. Rece pointed out that Bama made it to the CFP this year and Saban said yeah, but if I was younger we probably would have won. CLASS ACT!!! We love you Coach Saban and Miss Terry!!! ROLL TIDE!!!
