Since Saban likes hiring former HCs, and Helfrin from Oregon is being mentioned as someone who is a good OC but perhaps a bad HC -- think about this scenario -- one more crazy than Kiffin coming here.

LSU, playing Auburn this year, actually gets the last play off in time, and wins the game. Miles keeps his job. Malzhan gets fired, and is on the market, and perhaps has a little hunger for payback.

Anybody think that Saban would consider him?

Second scenario --

Panthers are having a terrible year this year. Let's say Ron Rivera gets fired. Mike Shula is on that staff, and has gotten great marks for being a great OC. Pretty sure he wouldn't do it, but how would feel about him as a candidate?
