Sonny Smart, Kirby's dad dies in New Orleans.

Sonny Smart fell on New Year's Eve and fractured his hip and underwent surgery to repair it. Complications arose and he passed early this morning. Condolences and prayers for the family. Really tough week for Georgia in NOLA.

Georgia coach Kirby Smart's father, Sonny, died Saturday morning after suffering complications from hip surgery he underwent following a fall in New Orleans before the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
