1) How about that for carrying over momentum? Alabama played an excellent second half against Tennessee, but came up short on Saturday and that lead to the fast start against Ole Miss. Specifically John Petty who finished with 15 points and hit three more three pointers and looked energetic. Donta Hall recorded his tenth double double and continues as the anchor for this team. This is an excellent resume booster and also a confidence booster.

2) The defense is what turned this game into a blowout. Forcing 17 turnovers and having 7 blocks energized the offense and the lackluster, but loud crowd. Eleven of the 17 forced turnovers were steals, which led to multiple fast break opportunities. The lack of forced turnovers against Texas A&M and Tennessee is what hurt Alabama in those games, but it was the difference in the game tonight

3) Free throws and rebounding were crucial in the loss against Tennessee, but they were strengths tonight. Finishing 17/22 from the FT line and out-rebounding Ole Miss by 15 were massive. Ole Miss has been a hot team to start conference play, specifically Terrence Davis, but Alabama did everything right to win tonight.

Buckle Up.
