We are making the 3 hour trek to watch the 8:00 game on a Tuesday night. But when somebody offered the tickets, I couldn’t turn down the memory and he’d be up for a midnight game! Two questions…
Are hard hats available for sale anywhere because he has one on his mind?
And where is the best place to park?

Worst part of living in Tampa other than the insufferable, constant, unbearable heat is the fact that I can’t go to these games anymore.

Before I got my parking pass I would and still have friends that do park in the Parkview Plaza (Parkview Center). There is a Family Dollar, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, T Town Cafe and others. A good address for your GPS is 504 14th Street, Tuscaloosa 35401. I think it’s a pretty good secret that is free, about a 2 minute walk and very easy access back to the interstate pretty much traffic free.

ROLL TIDE!!!!

I think I parked there once awhile back. It had signs in the parking lot about towing your car if you weren’t using the stores or something?

Definitely not this place, probably parked there over 100 times and never seen a sign. I guess it’s possible there are signs in the back by the Family dollar, but I have never parked that far back.

It's a great location. I have been parking there for basketball games for over 40 years.

I parked somewhere close to there in the front of some stores. Not sure where.

I have been parking there since the 70's. I back up on the railroad tracks and make the walk over to the colosseum. The only issue is when the train goes by right after the game.

So you park behind that strip of stores? I’m not crazy familiar but I kinda remember how it was laid out.

l along with all my brothers have one of those footballs in xcop's Avatar. Pop bought all of us one after xcop set him up with the gentleman who was incarserated for close to 30 years. Pop wanted to try and help this man and somehow xcop knows him well. Prison Ministery l expect. They are very nice and very reasonably priced. l am proud of mine.

We used to park over at the plaza everyone else is talking about, but we park over at the soccer fields now and take the shuttle to Coleman. Super convenient and easy.

How did it go? Did you all have fun?
It was good. My kid loves sports, basketball. He loves to play but he loves the other things just as much. He knows the SEC standings and has them on the wall. He draws logos for hours at a time and organizes them into his own leagues and standings. So he was just soaking it all in.
I posted about our seats in its own thread. They were right behind the Bama bench. So they were great before the game. But once the game started, it was hard to see. It was impossible for him to see actually. But the experience of being close was cool.

I had it happen to me last year with the Davidson game. I got Floor seats and we sat right behind Eli Gold and Richard Hendrix. I could see, but my son could. Luckily, I asked some people on the court if he could sit by them as their was one open seat, and they let him. First world problems.

Exactly what I said, first world problems but frustrating. It was the row of people behind the coaches, players. Managers and whoever else they were. They stood the whole time. They acted like they were the coaches.

That takes me back. I remember doing the same thing as a kid.

Well, did he have a good time?

As a kid, for hours I would stay on the Court pretending to be Porter Powers, shooting a long jump shot.

He did. We are watching an 8th grade girls game right now though and he’s having fun. Not hard to please if a ball is involved. It’s hard for a kid to pretend to be somebody from any certain school today for long bc nobody stays at a school anymore.
