imo is in the last 2 NFL drafts we have lost 12 defensive players into the first 4 rounds of the NFL draft. Most of these players are starting in the league .... last year Harrison in the 3rd starting for the Jags prior to IR, Hand started 8 games for the Lions. I point out those 2 simply because they were not early picks but are still producing at an early stage of their pro career.
Compare that in 2016 - 4 2015 - 1, 2014 - 2, 2013 -1 defensive players taken in the first 4 rounds.
FOUR years 8 players taken 1st 4 rounds .... last TWO years 12 players taken.

jmo but hard to blame players or current coaches. We simply cannot lose that many players over 2 years and have a few key injuries and not suffer. One of our defensive coaches told a media person prior to the UGA game our defense was way overrated. He was right.
I chose the first 4 rounds because the NFL looks at those as the premium rounds where you should be getting starters.
Many of you say you hate the NFL well this gives you another reason ....(G)
