The most gritty performance in 6 years. Lots of intensity off the bench. A big shakeup coming. Haters crying on this board once we took the lead. Very impressed. Not because the talent on the other side but overcoming that deficit to a tournament team and likely mid major conference champ. Previous teams would have folded.

Agreed. Nobody was harder on them in this 1st half than me. Really impressed with Rojas, Gary and Herb. Won in spite of horrendous showings from Petty, JQ, and Shack. JQ is going to be on a milk carton tomorrow.

Defensive effort was the difference. We shot like crap. Petty couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. FT shooting was pretty bad. But we battled to get stops when needed. Way too stressful for Furman but I will take that W and imagine Gary and Rojas earned some good minutes down the road. Gotta get our shooters dialed back in.

I noticed in the last 5 minutes every missed shot had 3 Bama guys flying into the air to either grab it or tip it. Let's start doing that for 40 minutes every game.
This was my frustration in the first half. Even if shots are not falling, you can still play defense and give effort on rebounds. They did better in the second half in this regard.

We need those two to play well and contribute.

Every facet of an offense gets easier when you play your butt off on defense and apply pressure with rebounding. You come out on fire on defense and that translates to more movement, confidence, and opportunity on the offensive end. This team wants to get the offense going so that the defense isn't as important and it's killing them.

I will say this about Petty. He has improved so much on the defensive side of the ball, as well as his rebounding. When he can in as a freshman he was a big time liability on D.
Right on
Looks lost on offense unless he is canning 3s

Would of lost the game if #45 did not foul out.

Love these types of remarks. Oats was yelling to drive on mounce the whole second half. That was STRATEGY. Rojas was driving on him collecting fouls. Btw, staying out of foul trouble is part of being good. And terrible management by the opposing coach. A cop-out of an argument

And I love your delusional ignorance. Not a cop out- it is a simple fact.

Its a cop out 100%. It's part of the game. Dont foul. You won't foul out
Only in the world you exist in is that a 100% cop out. Does not fit your Phd induced statistical analysis.
By the way- Clemson is 0-1 in the ACC.

So both clemson and the team they lost to are 5-1? Sounds terrible. Funny how you big mad after each won. Especially after a game where the whole team had to nut up and up their intensity to win. GREAT LEADERSHIP
