Is a complete mystery to me! He has been very steadfast in absolutely NOT doing that for any other position on his teams, over the years... BUT, he has consistently been just the opposite when it comes to kickers, so it seems.
Perfect recent example: situation with D. Brown versus Lester Cotton
CNS is NOT perfect, does absolutely contradicts, himself, occasionally....like, when he states the he is "ONLY interested (likes) player PERFORMANCE"...
However, THIS does NOT seem to apply to his kickers, evidently ( example after example, over the years, and it's cost us, too ie., "pick six game", 2011 "9 to 6 LSU game"
CNS repeatedly states that they "do well in practice, and they are improving" (doubtful).
My judgment criteria "standard" is their "Game Performance" !
The 'Bear' use to call it a 'Gut Check'.
Although, I defer to CNS knowledge and decisions, this 'kicker fixation' of his is a complete anomaly (mystery) to me?
Someone please "educate" me.... thoughts?
