"Jalen Hurts has got to be the starting quarterback right now," Tuberville said during Wednesday's "Three Man Front" program on WJOX 94.5 FM. "The guy's won a ton of games.
SEC Network analyst Paul Finebaum believes Saban will stretch the competition as long as possible and most likely not name a QB1 until late August. Tuberville says the job belongs to Hurts and it's his to lose.
"Jalen Hurts, the ball's going to be in his court, but he's got to be able to throw the ball better," Tuberville said. "I think he's a great leader. He understands how to win. I think he can run the offense."
