National signing day is a few hours away and Auburn does not have a new head coach. The only reason you fire a winning head coach is if you have someone better lined up ready to take the job. It appears that Auburn has no one lined up and on top of that it appears no one really wants the job. They appear to have now narrowed the search down to an assistant coach, who was on the staff. I can say this about his previous head coaching record. In four years at Baylor, he did win a conference game.
