The other day, Rick Pitino, you remember him, made a suggestion that the schedule be pushed back to February and that we have May Madness instead of March Madness, due to COVID. When he said that my first thought was what difference would it make; however, with the recent advances on a vaccine, delaying the season would probably mean that the venues could be open for attendance of fans and you could have an NCAA tournament with fans. It really looks like that by spring most people can start getting COVID shots and we can put this nightmare behind us. The NBA has already delayed their season until Christmas and it is obvious that the NBA knows what they are doing.
I really want to see this Bama team in person. For one, I am totally tired of COVID, but I know it is real and there are reasons for caution. I do not know how the University of the SEC will handle fan attendance, but to me what Pitino is saying makes sense. I would love to see the NCAA tournament with fans.
