i know the spring game performance does not usually mean much, but one thing it does do is this--saban may not give us a depth chart and he may keep it quite who he thinks is better at this stage, but he has to let somebody start with the 1st team offense and somebody start with the 2nd team offense in the spring game. i think this is a better indicator than many folks think. i believe the quarter back that starts with the 1's in the spring game has ended up being the starting quarter back the next year in all 8 of sabans seasons at alabama-- not sure about phillip simms and a.j. before 2011--
