this morning I listened of a few minutes of Wimp and Barry on the radio in Tuscaloosa. They were gushing over JQ ,saying he may be playing his way into the NBA draft. It would not shock me ,but what they said about us being the only team with a chance to beat Gonzaga surprised me . They didn't say we would get by UCLA easily just that our style of play and shooting could be tough on Gonzaga. Never thought I would hear that 90 days ago. I am very pleased to make the Sweet 16 but would like to see one more win ....and then one more, and then one more. RTR

I'm not greedy. I just want one more four game winning streak this season.

I just don’t think there is a remote chance of JQ leaving for the NBA draft. He basically sat for the last 2 years and now has gotten his game play in shape and is probably already has plans to return.
His brother Jaden is a walk on and his family is all in on Bama.
Now if something unforeseen happens like his name starts appearing in the draft models, that is a different story, but unlikely.

Of the non seniors, I would say that the ones I can see making the NBA are Ellis, Shackelford, Primo and Miles. I think JQ has the ability to shoot his way into the NBA

his size will hurt him more on the next level.
It hasn’t hurt Chris Paul and several others like Allen Iverson. Elite quickness, shooting, and ball handling in a wide open league is ideal for Quinerly. Not many can stay in front of him. He can finish or dish the assist.

I hate to see players go early in any sport. It’s not good for the player most of the time. I understand the circumstances of players needing the money. In most cases they come from a poor back ground. But, entering the draft to early sometime leads to a short career and the lost of a sustained income. The big signing bonus is eroded by agents, taxes, and a lack of understanding how to manage money. Entering early sometimes is just a boy competing against fully matured men.

I wouldn't want my 19 year old spending a lot of time with 25-30 year olds.
