To those watching the game as I was unable to do so today/ can anyone explain why Murphy would pull Riley and sub in Briski in the 6th inning when Riley had shutout the Sooners on only 3 hits through 5?
And of course Briski comes in and gives up a 2 run homer in the 7th and then Oklahoma goes up 4-1.
Boneheaded decision by Murphy if Riley was not hurt or unable to pitch. She had only thrown 74 pitches.
My guess is another Murphy “ hunch”
that backfired again.
Please retire Murphy. And soon.
