Football 🏈 Parker Brailsford shook off adversity, silenced doubters on road to Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Parker Brailsford knew about naysayers long before the term LANK entered his vocabulary. The Alabama center has faced skepticism regarding his size since his high school days, back when his offensive line coach had to send out highlight tapes to drum up interest from bigger programs.

Brailsford’s been doubted every step of the way since. His undersized frame quickly caught defensive linemen off guard after breaking into Washington’s starting lineup last year. However, even after earning Freshman All-America honors and helping the Huskies claim the Joe Moore Award, there were questions over whether the 6-foot-2, 275-pound center was wise to follow Kalen DeBoer to the SEC.

Football 🏈 Phenomenal Job By Coach DeBoer

I think that, when you look at all that has happened since Coach Saban stepped down, the quick hiring of Coach DeBoer and assembling such an outstanding staff of coaches, and the very good players who left in the portal, the great players that came to us in the portal, and putting together a pretty complete football team that dominated Georgia in the first half and hung on to win in the end, we have a phenomenal head coach! While there were certainly players who were heroes in the game, the biggest hero is the guy who put it all together and made it work. He WILL be getting a statue at Bryant-Denny Stadium, probably very soon. WE THANK YOU COACH DeBOER for choosing BAMA.
