5 Prospects I Think Will Commit To Bama

So far so good for Bama’s 2024 class. Despite having only 8 commits the Tide sits at the top of the leader board based on average star rankings with a 4.0 rating. No need to worry about the numbers right now as Saban always takes a very detailed and methodical approach when assessing which prospects should be awarded with a committable offer. Having said this, here is a list of 5 prospects I think will commit to Bama…

  1. 4-star OL Casey Poe (TX) – Poe is big on relationships and Bama OL coach Eric Wolford has built a great relationship with this kid. Georgia, Texas and Auburn are pushing hard too but Wolford usually gets want he wants when it comes to OLs. Poe will make his decision on July 12th.

  2. 4-star LB Demarcus Riddick (AL - UGA commit) – When Riddick committed to Georgia back in November, my first thought was Dawgs fans shouldn’t get too excited this far ahead of signing day due to the fact Riddick plays in the state of Alabama and Saban and staff have yet to make a push. Well, said push has happened and Riddick now understands he is a major target for the Tide. Kirby had better be working on a backup plan for Riddick’s impending departure from the Dawgs class on July 16th.

  3. 3-star OL William Sanders (AL) – Bama OL coach Eric Wolford loves this kid as a person and as a player. Sanders, who boasts a very high football IQ, has started to really develop into a legit D1 interior lineman and is getting lots of attention from other programs. But like I mentioned above, Wolford usually gets want he wants when it comes to OLs.

  4. 3-star DL Isaia Faga (AL - Utah commit) – It seems like every recruiting cycle begins with Bama having a huge need on the defensive line and the 2024 class is no different. Because of this, the staff has now turned up its focus on in-state Isaia Faga. Faga committed to Utah back in December and a big part of his decision was based on his uncle being the defensive line coach for the Utes. But Faga’s official visit to Bama was ‘eye-opening’ and I truly believe the momentum has now shifted in favor of him flipping to Bama.

  5. 3-star TE Jay Lindsey (AL - Mississippi St commit) – When Lindsey committed to the Bullies back in April he did not have a committable offer from Bama. He now does. Bama is Lindsey’s dream school and he grew up in an Alabama household. Plus, as always, the Tide has a big need at the TE position. Lindsey is saying all the right things about his commitment being solid to the Bulldogs but if the staff keeps pushing then it is only a matter of time before new MSU coach Zach Arnett finds himself looking to backfill Lindsey’s spot in the Bulldog’s ’24 class.

Keep an eye on…

4-star RB Daniel Hill (MS) – Typically, I get a nervous tick just before I forecast a player from the state of Mississippi to Bama. But not with Hill. Believe it or not South Carolina is probably the Tide’s biggest competition here. However, Saban has taken a personal interest in the recruitment of Hill if you get what I’m saying here.

4-OL Daniel Calhoun (GA) – Calhoun has been a frequent visitor to Tuscaloosa (frequent might be a bit of an understatement) and he has built a strong relationship with OL coach Eric Wolford. Many assume Calhoun will end up in Athens. I am not one of those many.

How different will the Alabama offense look with Milroe under center?

The last few seasons with Bryce Young at quarterback, we’ve seen a good balance between the pass and run game. However, we have also seen glimpses of Jalen Milroe throughout last season which primarily utilized keeping the ball on the ground. With the new hire of Tommy Rees also playing a factor in the offense now, how much change will we see in the Crimson Tide offense? If he gets the starting job, will Rees develop Milroe into a better passer and go through the air a lot? Or will he use Milroe’s speed and agility to factor in some option plays?

Harris one of the top players in the state for the 2026 class and should generate buzz to have the national recognition as well.

Yesterday he received the offer from Bama, catching up with Tide Illustrated about what the offer means.

“An Alabama offer means everything, Harris said. They’ve been one of the top programs in the last decade or so. Alabama is definitely in my top group of schools.”

“Playing for Saban Would be great. Just being developed at the highest level and a high chance of going to the NFL.”

“Next steps, I plan to continue building relationships with the coaches at the schools that’s recruiting me.”
