Alabama will host four-star WR Quincy Porter on a visit this weekend. He has Alabama in his top six along with Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas A&M.

Porter is the No. 1 player in New Jersey, a state where Alabama recently reeled in another WR targets Lotzier Books.

Nye had entered the portal but has withdraw her name. We lost three to the portal, most of which did not contribute big points except for McQueen. We added three out of the portal and three incoming freshman. We added a lot of height, so I think that will help us in rebounding. A couple of the additions are from small programs, so it remains to be seen whether it will translate in the SEC. We have Barker and Nye back which were the 2 Leaders and the two top scorers. I’m really looking forward to watching them this year.

Should the tournament utilize the two four-team brackets it looks like Alabama will play Houston, Rutgers and Notre Dame in the Players Era Festival.

The Southeastern Conference has announced each school’s conference opponents for the 2024-25 season.

Conference play tips off on Saturday, January 4, and runs through Saturday, March 8. Each SEC team plays the other 15 teams at least once during league play. Three teams will be played a second time during the schedule – two which are permanent opponents and one that will change each year.


The continuation and renewal of historic rivalries was a point of emphasis when creating the schedule as the SEC welcomes Oklahoma and Texas as new members in 2024-25. Additionally, preexisting home-and-away rotations for single-play opponents were preserved.


The SEC Tournament returns to Nashville, Tenn., as Bridgestone Arena will host the event from March 12-16, 2025.

A record-tying 10 SEC teams received postseason bids. The SEC’s eight NCAA Tournament selections tied its previous best set in 2018. Additionally, two SEC teams competed in the National Invitation Tournament. The SEC has had 35 NCAA Tournament selections over the last five tournaments.

Gator coach goes aggressive to portal gets OK catcher transfer. SEC player of the year and an OF all sec outfielder. Guess they did not contact Murphy about the possibility of coming to BAMA. 10 years ago I considered them equal but the gator coach has adapted to the the changing game and Murphy unfortunately hasn’t
