entered the TP. He’s 6’2 185 lbs. He had 4 interceptions last year, 4 pass deflections and a fumble recovery. @Tony_Tsoukalas or anyone heard any rumors about him? Has experience and is a good height, not sure about his speed. I think he’s listed at Safety but scouting reports said he can play CB too. Played CB, S and WR in high school.

My sources this morning tell me the asking price for Cliff is unreasonably high and his team has not been willing to come down on the price.

I’m also told, if Cliff does not commit then Alabama will pivot to Ugonna Oyenso really quick with the belief he will commit to Alabama.

Things are fluid, but if I had to predict, I’d say Alabama ends up with Ugonna Oyenso.

good publicity for UAB. works for them as basicallly nil NIL (grin) but imagine how revenue would be calculated and not a loss? interesting times. will help them recruit at their level.

all this non-Power 5 conferences are essentially locked in irrelevancy with NIL. suspect more will go UABs route to try and find some player funds

Justin Lebron was just named the SEC Player of the Week for the second time this season, following his performances last week against Samford and Ole Miss

Lebron led the entire SEC with 10 hits and led Alabama in home runs (3) , total bases (21), and runs (9) as well.

Expect an announcement to return tomorrow.

I post this with the utmost respect and appreciation for what Alabama softball and Patrick Murphy have been able to accomplish over the last 25 years- remarkable record all fans took great pride in supporting and following. Represented the school with class and has been the 2nd most successful sport on campus. And I have watched and enjoyed it all.

Yes- I have been rather obnoxious going after JTR4DAD the last 2-3 years due to his relentless defense of all criticism given by myself and others during the last 3 seasons.

Something happened about mid season during the 2022 season that no one has really explained. Team lost first game of SEC tourney and then lost twice in regional to Stanford by identical 6-0 scores.

KB Sides had already been rather rudely run out of town and then 6 players transferred out at seasons end. And things have not been the same since then.

Recruiting has fallen off ( perhaps due to NIL issues) or complacency, Murphy has refused to hire a hitting coach, assistant coaches have left the program and now we see the results. Also lack of player development.

25 year low point for the program last 2 weekends and not sure it is fixable by Murphy.
He needs to be held accountable now.
