Today my wife and I are celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary!!!!’

I know that this is not sports related but it’s a great accomplishment by my wife!
I owe the University of Alabama so much but the most important thing is that I met my wife there! That had to be one of the best days in my life!
She was married to a coach for 32 years and had to put up with a lot of CRAP from me!
When I was coaching and having fun with my players, she raised our two beautiful and intelligent daughter’s! One is a special education teacher just like her mother the other daughter is a Lawyer!
When people tell me that I ought kicked my coverage I tell them that the ball went out of the Stadium!
Sorry for the long rant but I’m so proud today!
ROLL TIDE ROLL to all of you!

Football Recruiting Update: Rivals100 Micah DeBose

I attended the Vigor intrasquad game last night and spoke with Rivals100 Target Micah DeBose and he spoke briefly about his recruitment

“I’m still committed to Georgia but I’m still listening to other school.”

“Coach wolford is recruiting me hard so I see that bama has interest in me and I still do weekly calls with Coach Wolford. I will definitely visit again. Alabama is recruiting a lot of good players in my class, guys I’ve been building good relationships with.”

“My interest in bama is still high but I still stand a solid commit to Georgia.”

Look for DeBose to continue communicating with the staff. Apparently he’s looking into a visit to Ohio State, word is if he visits they will offer.

Five questions we have about Alabama's OL

Alabama’s quarterback battle is the hottest topic heading into the summer. However, it won’t matter who is throwing the ball if the Crimson Tide can’t keep him upright.

Don't rule out Alabama for this top 30 talent

Za Patterson is one of the top hybrids in the class and his top five isn't his final five, he tells us. Alabama is the program pushing most to reshape his list, so an official visit to T-town is plenty possible.

UA also remains in good shape in the Jordan Seaton recruitment, though it is far from over.

Football Recruiting What we’re hearing on Alabama commit Perry Thompson

Foley (Ala.) WR Perry Thompson visited A-Day and it seemed like things were on their way to being solidified with the Tide. However, talking with multiple sources close to Thompson this one could end up getting very interesting…

Apparently, Thompson feels like he committed to early, getting caught up in the hype of earning the Alabama offer & with the success Julio Jones had coming from Foley himself after selecting the Tide.

Sources say, this could end up being and NIL situation with Tennessee and Auburn as the main contenders to flip the four-star wideout. Florida is also another school that could enter the equation if they offer.

With the way things are trending I do not expect Thompson to stay committed to Alabama much longer. He will give it some time to play out but I’m told that he would like to have everything in order before the season.

Auburn is the favorite to flip Thompson. They have made him a priority in the class and seem to have provided a number that he likes.

Alabama can always counter but right now this looks like it could be a huge recruiting win for Hugh Freeze as they look make their mark.

Important time for Bama Baseball

Tomorrow Night begins the most important run of games in recent Bama History. According to Warren Noble, Alabama presently sits with an RPI of 15 and has Three games with aTm, Three with Ole Miss and then at least one in the SEC tournament.

Right now we are projected as a two seed headed to the Durham subregional, where Duke is the 8 seed, as of last Friday. Since then, we have only improved our position, with two wins against Vandy and a win against Troy, both highly rated. I still think we are on the outside for hosting, even though we are 15th in RPI; however, with a good stretch run, we can improve our standing. I think we have to go 4-2 in the last six games of the season and win at least two in the SEC tournament and if we do that, we could get a sub-regional. We are not hurt by the fact that aTm is in the top 35 in RPI and Ole Miss is 62 in RPI. Our biggest problem is that for Bama to get a sub-regional they would probably have to give the SEC 7 sub-regionals.

My prediction would be that we end up as a two seed and go to play as a 17-20 rated program, meaning we would play in sub regional 13-16.
