Please help me understand why the state doesn’t have a lottery?

I live in VA which does & it supports education. Truly a big revenue generator for a worthy cause.
Plus it’s a boom to all the retail stores that sell tickets.


Is Alabama so conservative that the legislature thinks it is sac religious to have any form of gambling?

Don’t people flock across state lines to participate in other states games?

I hope for Alabama’s sake the lottery becomes available. I haven’t read a passage in the Bible that says no to gambling. Just like everything in life nothing in excess. Seems like the government again saying we know what’s best for you.😡

Why are we going after so many 3 start players. Seems like people are getting excited when we land a commit from a 3 star. We are not going to be able to compete with teams like Georgia, LSU and Texas without 5 star talent. I hope what seems to be happening is not a trend.

Both Men’s and Women’s programs are all extremely competitive. Our facilities (especially our new Golf Complex…best in the country) are really good and getting better! I believe we have the best AD in college athletics and his leadership is second to none. Football is in great hands with CKD. Thanks to CNO our basketball program is favored to win a National Championship!!! I believe that we have a really good opportunity to win National Championships in both Football and Basketball in 24’/25’. And you can take it to the bank…we will win another Men’s Golf National Championship within 3 years! We are blessed to be Bama sports fans!! RTR
