47 years ago tonight, I watched one of the greatest college football games ever played. The National Championship between my beloved Crimson Tide and The Notre Dame Fighting Irish. They were so many amazing plays that night and in the end the Irish broke my 16 year old heart by winning 24--23. I remember Howard Cosell saying after the game that both teams deserved the Trophy and if they played 10 times, each team would win 5 times. I know we crushed them a few years back to win the N.C. however, the pain of that night 47 years ago, still lingers. I hope we totally destroy and embarrass their butts tomorrow evening and put another smile on Bear's face...........
