Alabama likely to add road game

Coach Oats said on his radio show that he expects Alabama to add a road game for March 6 as a makeup game. It would likely be Florida, Vandy, Ole Miss, or UGA since they haven’t played them on the road yet. It will not be Texas A&M. Would add an interesting dynamic.

Also, he said Gary will likely play next week. He has practiced this week already.

My guess it that it’s a conference decision. Any of those games would be more difficult than the A & M game that it would replace.

Coach Oats I’m sure could decline a game if he wanted, but he wouldn’t do that. I could see it being Vanderbilt or Georgia. Oats probably wouldn’t like the long lay-off

I agree that there's no benefit to us playing this extra game. A win wouldn't help our NCAA seeding, but a loss certainly could. I'd rather just rest and get ready for a potential deep March run.

The SEC is not going to get in the full slate of games. It would be different if Arky was going to make up both of their missed games, but they are not. There is nothing to be gained by doing this, unless Alabama plays Ole Miss and loses.

It's Texas. if something can be screwed up, Texas will find a way to screw it up bigger and worse. Just try to go through DFW. If you think ATL is bad, DFW does it ten times worse.

Dude, I was being sarcastic. I think it is absolutely ridiculous we are still cancelling games after we have seen absolutely zero evidence that it is spread on the court or field. Not 1 case.
