Not an extreme shock here. There was interest, including a recent visit from DeBoer and Chris Kapilovic earlier this month, but Cantwell has obviously seen sustained interest from a ton of elite programs. The Tide recruited one of the best offensive line classes in the country last cycle and ultimately didn't make the cut in the here.
Alabama has a lot of blue-chip offensive linemen high on its shortlist in 2026. Two — Bear McWhorter and Lamar Brown — have already scheduled OVs for May 30.
Side note: Cantwell took a Junior Day visit to Texas A&M and didn't include the Aggies in his list either
