Farmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison four-star defensive and Alabama commit Khalid Kareem's recruitment appears not to be over just yet. Kareem said this past weekend, that he has been in contact with Notre Dame, and is considering taking an official visit to South Bend.

"It's a possibility," Kareem said. "I have been talking with [defensive line coach Keith Gilmore] a little bit and we're working to set something up."Kareem, who is ranked as the No. 19 strongside defensive end in the country, committed to Alabama back in June. At the time, his father, Ken Kareem, said that the family made the decision because they felt comfortable with the SEC program.

"For us, when he got down to the last few schools he couldn't choose a bad one," Ken Kareem told The Wolverine's Brandon Brown. "We had done enough homework, looked at enough rosters, talked to enough people that he couldn't make a bad choice."

That didn't mean however, that the family wouldn't revisit the other options on the board. Kareem visited Michigan State on Sept. 12, and has also heard from Michigan like he has with Notre Dame.

"I talk frequently with Alabama," Kareem said when asked where things stand with the Crimson Tide. The 6-4, 257-pound end is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 9 prospect in the state of Michigan. He visited Notre Dame for a junior day back in March, and is planning to enroll early at the school of his choice.
