GAME THREAD: No. 2 Alabama at No. 24 Texas A&M

I actually didn't have too much of an issue with this because we got off like 15 more shots from the field but couldn't hit anything from the outside.

That is people who just look at stats and do not really watch the game.
Not going to shoot many free throws when you throw up 36 3’s and keep missing instead of driving for fouls/ which is what Aggies major in.

Teams from the same conference can play each other as early as the 2nd round if they have only played once in the season. So if they don’t meet in the SEC tournament, it’s possible. Not likely but possible.

Do not remember ever seeing that. Regional final is the soonest they could meet by everything I have ever read.

Reading just a little bit of this thread is why I no longer come into game day threads. We have some shitty fvcking fans who will turn on a player in a heartbeat. Fvck what they have done all season, fvck winning the SEC and headed towards a #1 seed. A couple of bad games or plays and all of a sudden they are terrible, selfish, stupid, blah blah blah blah.

And many of us are extremely happy you do not.

That turnover by Sears was one of absolute stupidity. Unbelievable.

That’s why I’ve been saying I don’t trust him with the ball in his hands late in a close game. He makes some of the most boneheaded decisions I’ve ever seen.

I didn’t have any problem with the officiating. The problem was we couldn’t contain their guards. Their 3 starting guards scored 60 of their 67 points.

At least you did not call him a “ thug” like you did Miller and JQ.

The issue is this is a bad trend … horrible starts inbtge first half both at home and away

We’ve shot like that for 4 games in a row now, so it has become a little concerning for me. Slow starts have obviously been hurting us as well.

His job is get to the basket and take the shot if there/ kick it back out if not. Which he does plenty.

You throw “ thug” around way to easily/speaks volumes. You do not know those kids/ they are competitive on the court. And officials need to be questioned as bad as they are at times.

You have to give A&M and Buzz credit. They are masters at fouling in a way that won't always get called while being A-list actors at drawing a foul call. They must spend 75% of their practice time hammering each other until they can foul and get foul calls on their terms.

Miller had at least two really awful foul calls on him so when he had a legit foul he already had 4 fouls.

Buzz just flat owns Nate. Period. His team's style is pure kryptonite to what Oats wants to do. If we get to Sun in Nash and we play A&M we'll probably lose again. If the selection committee really wants to mess with us they'll put A&M at the 8 line in the same bracket as us.

The good thing is A & M will be much higher than an 8 or 9 seed. I think they’ll be a 5 at worst. Either way, I don’t want to play them again until next season.

I think 1/18 from the three pt line in the Texas A&M’s first half was the worst that bama has shot… worse than the tenn game because bama didn’t get as many shots up in that first half.

I’m trying to be optimistic 😇
If bama can’t improve, the field of 32 game loss could be a possibility against a solid 8 or 9 seed

Way too much parody in this game to overlook anyone. Bama has a great team. They’re not giving me a ton of confidence the way they are playing right now. It’s difficult to come back every game

Any team that is struggling with a South Carolina or Texas A&M’s or AU or Tenn in the same way that is a trend.

3/4 of these teams are good and physical man to man teams

I'll know right away what our chances are of making the sweet 16 or beyond after I see our bracket next week. If we draw an 8 or 9 seed who has physical guards and likes to muck up the game then I won't be shocked at all to see us bounced in the second round. I'm not cancelling my final four reservations yet, but I'm not nearly as confident as I was in January when I made them.

👀Wow .. bama has been consistent.

It’s almost inconceivable to shoot that poorly with as much emphasis placed on that 3 point shot.

Mentally and physical tired— better defensive game plans etc
